BUSINESS SCHOLARS
The Business Scholars program gives high-achieving first-year and transfer students an introduction to the various business disciplines. Business Scholars visit companies nationwide, network with alumni, and develop professional skills. A committed group of top faculty members, academic advisors, career coaches, and peer mentors work with students to develop the skills necessary for success in college and in the workforce.
LASSONDE ENTREPRENEUR INSTITUTE
The Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute is a Top 10 nationally-ranked hub for student entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Utah and an interdisciplinary division of the David Eccles School of Business. Programs include workshops, networking events, business-plan competitions, startup support, innovation programs, graduate seminars, scholarships, community outreach and more.
WOMEN IN BUSINESS
The Women in Business (WIB) group at Eccles is an undergraduate and graduate student organization that focuses on the professional and personal development of women to enhance their experiences through building community and providing opportunity. WIB strives to raise critical consciousness on complex social issues that negatively impact the professional, academic, and personal experiences and persistence of women in society.
OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The Opportunity Scholars program provides retention resources such as tutors, mentors, internships, advising, career-services, service-learning projects, community outreach, networking opportunities, counseling, financial assistance and anytime access to the program director.

The Entrepreneurship major prepares students to create their own business opportunities and ventures. Students discover, create, and pursue opportunities through the creation of new products and services. Develop the diverse range of foundational skills necessary to become an effective entrepreneur. This unique program is highly experiential and hands-on. Students will engage in programs and activities at the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute. They also have the opportunity to live at Lassonde Studios, one of the most innovative entrepreneurship spaces in the world.

Quantitative Analysis of Markets & Organizations (QAMO) majors builds analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills by utilizing game theory and econometrics to answer real-world questions. Students learn strategic direction and in-depth analysis. Developed jointly with the University of Utah’s Department of Economics, this major includes advanced courses in mathematics, statistics, economics, and business. QAMO students may also choose optional emphases in the various business disciplines such as entrepreneurship, finance, management, and marketing.
